THE PROBLEM
PERIOD PRODUCTS = ESSENTIALS
On average, a woman spends 2,535 days of her life menstruating. Menstruation is a necessary biological function, and menstruators do not have any control over their periods. Regardless of their financial situation, when menstruators get their period, they need access to menstrual care products. However, many cannot afford to purchase these items, which puts them in an extremely difficult position. When menstruators do not have appropriate access to period products, they end up missing school or work. This expands the already growing gender gap. Therefore, menstrual equity must be advanced to finally achieve gender equality.
PERIOD PRODUCTS ≠ LUXURIES
